Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi
Arrive in Moshi, Tanzania, and meet with your trekking team. Attend a pre-climb briefing, equipment check, and enjoy a relaxing evening to prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Camp
Begin your trek at the Umbwe Gate, hiking through the dense rainforest. The trail is steep, offering glimpses of wildlife and exotic flora. Arrive at Umbwe Camp for overnight camping, surrounded by the sounds of the forest.
Day 3: Umbwe Camp to Barranco Camp
Ascend to Barranco Camp through the Umbwe Ridge. The trail provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Reach Barranco Camp for a well-deserved rest and acclimatization.
Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Navigate the Barranco Wall, a challenging climb that rewards with spectacular views. Continue to Karanga Camp, set in a scenic valley. Acclimatize and prepare for the upcoming ascent.
Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Ascend to Barafu Camp, the base for the summit push. The landscape transitions to an alpine desert, offering striking vistas. Rest and mentally prepare for the summit attempt.
Day 6: Summit Night - Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
Embark on the summit attempt in the early hours, navigating the steep scree slopes. Reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise, an exhilarating moment at the highest point in Africa. Descend to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
Descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificates. Celebrate your achievement with the trekking team and transfer to Moshi for a comfortable night’s rest.
Day 8: Departure
